Coaches Corner

The following will outline the process for selecting players to the various All-Stars and Tournament Teams:

Based on 6 teams in your league:
Each coach will select 12 players. The player(s) that is on every list will automatically be on the team. Then each coach will submit another list from the players that did not get selected. Any player that is on 5 list will automatically be on the team. Then we will submit again and players on 4 list will be on the team. This process will be followed until we have a team of 12.
We will select the 9 year old Tournament team for each league on Saturday, June 5th at 9:00am. We will select all of the other teams on Saturday, June 12th at 9:00am. Both days will be at Summerville Baptist Church. If the head coach can’t be there then you need to have one of your assistant coaches represent you. If you do not have an assistant that can be there either then let me (Brad Melton) know and I will assign a board member to represent you. These dates were given to us by the District Administrator. A practice schedule will be put together for all teams.

Rule Interpretation

Pinch(Courtesy) Runner:

Once each inning a team may utilize a player who is not in the batting order as a special pinch runner for any offensive player. A player may only be removed for a special pinch runner one time during a game.

NOTE: Does not apply if the league has a continous batting order. Therefore this rule does not apply to our minor league teams.
